Stampin' Up Note Cards and Box

For my July Workshop I made a box of note cards with envelopes using several Stampin' Up stamp sets, punches, card stock and papers.

Note Card Box is 1" deep and holds six note cards and envelopes.
Base is Watermelon Wonder.  Stamp set is Summer Silhouettes page 121 of the 2015-16 Stampin' Up Catalog.  Inks are Watermelon Wonder, Pink Pirouette and Daffodil Delight.  Title was stamped with Scrappy Cat Playful Serif

Box:  6 3/4" x 10 1/4"
Scored on 10 1/4" side at 5 3/4" and 6 3/4"
Scored on 6 3/4" side at 1" and 5 3/4"
Front panel is 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

This card is stamped with the new SU stamp set:  Awesomely Artistic
The dragonfly was stamped onto Coastal Cabana Vellum

For this card I used the Camomile wheel (retired) on the background and the Language of Friendship flowers and punched them out with the Boho Flower punch (retired)

Another Awesomely Artistic card this one with Gold Stickles

Coastal Cabana, Watermelon Wonder and Daffodil Delight Vellum stamped, punched and stylus embossed flowers, it is hard to see in this photo, but these are beautiful.

My favorite of the six, made with Papillon Potpourri  stamped, punched and stylus embossed from the Vellum.  This card has Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy.  I heat embossed the flower stems in with white embossing powder.  Again, this picture does not show how stunning the butterflies really are.

To make your own colored Vellum, use a brayer to ink on color to one side of vellum, it takes a while to dry so set it aside for about an hour or so.

Note:  When embossing the colored vellum it is best to stamp your image on the UN-INKED side and to emboss with you stylus on the inked side, this way the beautiful white lines show through your image and give it depth.

Thanks for taking a look, have a great day!

Stampin' Up From Land To Sea Jellyfish (Medusozoa)

This card is much more vibrant than this picture shows.  This is not my design, I found a beautiful card by Sandy McIver showing the bokeh technique and decided to give it a try.

Here is a link the Sandy's beautiful card and tutorial:

Stampin' Up By The Seashore

This sandy little crab coming out of the water was stamped onto watercolor paper in Dusty Durango ink and filled in with a water brush.  I placed a mask over the crab with Post-It tape and stamped swirls of water and foam bubbles in Versamark ink and heat set with white embossing powder.  A sponge was used to add Coastal Cabana ink over the embossed water then I stamped the swirls again in Coastal Cabana.

Baked Brown Sugar was used to sponge over the basked crab and then the sand was stamped all around.  Base of the card is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" in Bermuda Bay layered with So Saffron, Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake.

I liked this card so much that I made several of them, some with the crab going into the water.  The crab is from the Stampin' Up set By The Seashore and is retired.

Under The Sea Watercolored Seahorse Cards

110# White card stock was used as the base for this card.  I used a stencil around the edges and smoothed on Ranger Texture Paste.  Watercolor paper was painted with Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana and Tempting Turquoise inks and while still wet it sprinkled it with sea salt, let it dry and brushed the salt off.  Then using a seahorse stencil cut from the Cricut I smoothed over more Texture Paste.  A light coat of Wink of Stella was applied to the seahorse and bubbles.

For the second card I used a base of Coastal Cabana then a sheet of Naturals.  This time I painted the background on watercolor paper then applied a tissue paper seahorse to the center, while the seahorse was drying, I added Texture Paste all around the edges.  In the end I did not like the look of the seahorse, so I applied some water and Calypso Coral ink.  White twine and colored beads were added to the bottom.

Black Magic Watercolor Butterflies

The butterflies were die cut from Stampin' Up Shimmery White card stock and watercolored with inks.  The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat set in white embossing powder then colored with Stampin' Up alcohol markers.  110# black card stock was used for the base of the card.

Ice Cream With A Cherry On Top

Using some of the new Stampin' Up 2015-16 "In Colors"  Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe for this card.  Yummy!  Don't you just want take a lick?

Large Dot embossing folder was reversed for the front panel, I used a doily from my stash and lace ribbon in a light pink.  The cone, ice cream and cherry were punched out using the new Tree Builder Punch.

Stamp set is Sprinkles of Life and each purchase of this 22 stamp photopolymer stamp set benefits the Ronald MacDonald House.  This set is very affordable and wonderfully versatile and has a coordinating punch that can be used to cut out several of the stamps, including the ice cream scoops and cherry.  See samples below:

Stampin' Up Maritime Birthday Card

I CASEd the front of this card from James Weber "The Stampin' Stud" from the CYCI (Can You Case It) #63 Challenge.
His card can be found here:  http://stampinstud.blogspot.com/2015...of-sketch.html

I changed it up just a bit by adding Happy Birthday, I used an anchor stamp from another set and added twine.   This inside of the card is all mine.

I adore birds, when I was growing up my grandfather had an Aviary and he had the most beautiful birds that he would enter into shows.

This is a pop out card.  I used Stampin' Up basic black, whisper white and wild wasabi papers.  The inks are Staz-On black, and Stampin' Up Watermelon Wonder, Island Indigo, and Wild Wasabi.

Paper Bag Purse made with a white lunch bag covered with Stampin' Up Best Day Ever DSP and complimented with Pool Party ruffled ribbon and card stock, a paper flower and vanilla brad.  Closure is velcro.

For this Hello card I made a seed packet type envelope and decorated it with some flowers cut with an old Sizzix Dahlia flower die.  Papers used are Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, So Saffron and Bermuda Bay.  Hello was cut out on the Cricut.  I drew lines around the card insert in Chocolate Chip marker and finished off the flowers with brown gems.
