October Fun

Card base is basic black card stock.  Hello Honey is stamped with the Stamping' Up Woodgrain stamp in Baked Brown Sugar ink.  Window scene is from SU Happy Scenes and colored with sponge daubers ink and markers, highlighted with Gelly Roll white.  Hello Honey 1/4" holes were formed with a stylus adhered with glue then covered with Glossy Accents.  Window die cut is from SU Hearth and Home.  The wonderfully colorful owl is a button from Dress It Up with the shank cut off and then glued to the card.  I love the colors of this card.

I have entered this card in the Dragonfly Journeys Challenge No. 29, "October Colors, Anything Goes"

Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkin

I made this card for Dragonfly Journeys Challenge #26 "It's The Great Pumpkin!"

Card base is SU Mossy Meadow, frame is Pumpkin Pie.

First I drew a pumpkin onto Canson watercolor paper and painted it with SU Re-inkers in Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Pumpkin Pie and Tangelo Twist.  Then I stamped the image with Gorgeous Grunge in Mossy Meadow, then Versamark and heat set with gold embossing powder.  I did the same for the leaves.  Added some sequins and a bow as finishing touches.  Sentiment is CTMH:  Perfect Fit-Thanksgiving.

Be Thankful

Watercolored Die Cuts

This is for Split Coast Stampers TLC554 Watercolor Those Die Cuts

First, I watercolored a sheet of Canson 140# XL watercolor paper with Stampin' Up, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Wild Wasabi and Elegant Eggplant inks and water.

Then I stamped three of the leaves from Vintage Leaves stamp set all over the watercolored paper in Tip Top Taupe.

Leaves were die cut with coordinated Leaves Dies, then stamped with Gorgeous Grunge in Elegant Eggplant, dried then stamped again with Versamark and embossed with Recollections Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder.

The edges of the leaves were then dipped into the Versamark and again embossed.

Base of card is 110" white card stock, with a pieces of Elegant Eggplant, Gold Foil and another piece of white card stock dry embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.

Eggplant leaves were die cut to match the painted leaves and glued the the back of the watercolored leaves at the stems.  The leaves were then applied to the woodgrain card stock with dimentionals.  A piece of gold twine was tied to the leaf stems.

Sentiment was stamped onto white card stock, gold embossed design and then stamped the sentiment in elegant eggplant and punched it out with the Artisan Label punch.  Sentiment was backed with two Elegant Eggplant labels punched out and cut in half to frame the sentiment.
